Terms of Use
Last updated: October 5, 2026
These Terms of Use apply to your use of Acrylic Painting for Beginners (“the site”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
What the site provides
The site publishes free lessons, painting ideas and technique guides about acrylic painting for general information and personal enjoyment. We work to keep the instructions clear and accurate, but we do not promise that every lesson is free of errors or that you will get a particular result by following it. Time estimates are approximate.
Results vary
Paints, brushes and surfaces differ from one maker to the next, and so do rooms, lighting and drying conditions. Colors with the same name can look different, and a mix described in a lesson may need adjusting with your own tubes. The illustrations show an approach, not a result you should expect to match. How a painting turns out depends on your materials and your practice.
Painting at your own risk
The lessons are written for adults, and you follow them at your own risk. You are responsible for choosing suitable materials and for how you use, store and dispose of them.
- Follow product labels. Read the label on every paint, medium, varnish and spray product before you use it, and follow its instructions and warnings. Where a label and a lesson differ, the label takes priority.
- Ventilate. Use varnish and any spray product only in a well-ventilated room or outdoors, as the product label directs.
- Keep paint away from food. Do not eat, drink or prepare food where you paint, and do not reuse water jars, palettes, plates or brushes for food.
- Keep materials away from small children. Store paints, mediums, varnish and small items out of their reach. The lessons are not written for children.
- Look after your surroundings. Dried acrylic paint is difficult to remove. Protecting your table, floor, clothes and belongings is your responsibility.
The site does not give medical, safety or product advice, and it makes no statement about whether any particular product is suitable for you. If you have a question about a product, rely on its label and on the information its maker publishes.
